4.1. Assessment tasks (description of tasks, marking system and assessment criteria)
The student must show that has successfully passed all the learning requirements through the following evaluation activities:
- Objetive Knowledge test: 50 test questions with multiple answer and 5 possible options (90%), and an short essay question (10%). 35 correct anwers will be necessary to pass the test, incorrect answers do not discount. The short essay evaluation will be corrected only if the test results is 35 or above. (60% subject final grade). It is mandatory to pass the exam to overcome the subject.
- Homework and public defense: clinical cases and review works that will be presented during clinical cases.
- Practical exercices and technical skills valoration, that will be evaluated during clinical exercices and laboratory demostrations.

SUBJECT: PERIODONTOLOGY II
1st Session: 1 hour- Subject presetation. Schedule. Professors.

- Resources: show the different digital tools, and login to see how it works.
- Report how to do the tasks that have to be successfully done to pass the subject
- Talk about the evaluation
- Anonimus alumni feed-back about the expectations related with the subject
2nd Session: Professor Lecture. 2 hours
+ Topic 1: Periodontal Treatment basic phase. Scaling and root planing.
+ Topic 2: Prognosis and treatment plan.
3rd Session: Professor Lecture. 2 hours
+ Topic 3: Periodontal reevaluation appoinment. Prognosis. Decision making.
4th Session: Professor Lecture (1,5 hours). Homework (0,5 hours)
+ Topic 4: Periodontal Surgery basic pinciples
+ Homework explanation: " Systemic and enviromental factors that affect periodontal diseases". A research.
5th Session: Proffesor Lecture (2 hours)
+ Topic 5: Incisions and Sutures
+ Homework public defense by groups
6th Session: Professor Lecture (2 hours)
+ Topic 6: Resective Surgery I: Gingivectomy
+ Topic 7: Resective Surgery II: Apical Reposition Flap

+ Topic 9: Regenerative surgery I
+ Topic 10: Regenerative surgery II: Endogain

+ Topic 11: Mucogingival Surgery Principles
10th Session: Clinic Seminar (2 hours)
6 clinical cases seminar, that will be valorated by the students, and write an essay about diagnosis, prognosis and treatmet plan

12th Session: Professor Lecture (2 hours)
+ Topic 13: Advance implantology
The clinical practice will be done in the University dental clinic.
